Abby's Aunt Ayelet and Uncle Greg were visiting this weekend. It was probably the last time we would see them before they move to Germany for two years. We had a great time and gave us an excuse to go check out some places in the Dallas-Fort Worth area that we wouldn't normally make the effort to see (not that we're lazy, it's just that it's sometimes a pain in the you-know-what to pack a baby bag a drive somewhere and spend the day out with a one-year-old).
We visited the Fort Worth Stockyards and saw the cattle being driven down the streets.
Abby LOVED watching these big, furry creatures walk down the road...
We then made our way around and ran into a crazy man with a little pony:

Later, Abby made friends with a tremendous Steer named Big Duke:
Apparently Abby wasn't quite as scared of those big horns as her mother was...We also ate at this WONDERFUL mexican food restaraunt that I could eat at everyday if it wasn't 40 minutes from our house. Let's hope my pregnancy hormones don't get the better of me and cause me to make a long daily trek with Abby in tow just to eat their salsa.
All in all, it was a wonderful weekend, and we loved spending time with Greg and Ayelet. We're sad that we won't be able to see them again for quite awhile, but we made some great memories this weekend to hold us over until we do:-)

Now that Abby's getting bigger, you guys will have to go to the Fort Worth Zoo and the Dallas World Aquarium sometime. Both are pretty neat. So what was the name of the good Mexican restaurant? I've been craving Mexican myself. haha!
Ah, how fun was the weekend! It's SOOOO hard to be at work right now. Thanks again for hosting us! We had a great time. I'll try to put up my photos tonight.
Greg and I have been doing impressions of Abby getting excited and shaking her fists while eating dinner in the pub.
That must be your sister cause you guys look somuch alike! The Stockyards are fun...glad you got to experience them.
Yeee-Hawww! Looks like ya'll had a mighty fine time out with the Longhorns! Glad you had a fun taste of Texas... oh, AND Joe T's too! It looks like Abby approved, as well, we may have a chance to make her into a Texas girl after all. ;-)
